Everyone is welcome at Choi Kwang Do. At Choi Kwang Do, individuals may train at any age and enjoy the benefits of fitness and longevity. Levels of intensity, frequency and duration are all systematically developed for wellness. We encourage all our students to exercise regularly and to live a wholesome lifestyle.
Since the introduction of Choi Kwang Do in March 2, 1987, many martial artists from various styles have converted to the Choi Kwang Do system. The founder of Choi Kwang Do was himself a master instructor of Tae Kwon Do and traditional martial arts. However, because of sustaining injuries from traditional martial arts training, Choi Kwang Do was born.
After submitting the current certification and being accepted into the program, the instructor/school owner undergoes training with the International Master Instructor himself at Choi Kwang Do National headquarters in Panchkula, Haryana. Following the basic training, the new instructor undergoes further training for a period of 6 months and is reevaluated into their current rank. From there, the instructor is welcomed to train with the International Master Instructor and other Choi Kwang Do instructors at seminars across the world. The first step is to contact Choi Kwang Do India National Headquarters at firstname.lastname@example.org. The success of the conversion solely depends on the instructor's effort and enthusiasm. There are many school owners across the india who have successfully crossed over to the Choi Kwang Do system.
Any student who has trained in Choi Kwang Do with a black belt certification and has gone through the assistant instructor and head instructor certification may run a school. From gold belt and above, any student at the age of 14 who has a good standing and regular training at a certified Choi Kwang Do school can apply or be recommended to become an assistant instructor. At brown belt senior level, and at the age of 18, these assistant instructors can be recommended or apply for chief instructor certification, which allows them to teach at their current school. When these instructors want to open their own school, they apply through their instructor to Choi Kwang Do Martial Art National headquarters to certify as school owner. This is a 2-day process in which Choi Kwang Do Martial Art will designate two faculty members to certify this individual and upon completion can then open their own school.
